Mount RushmoreWelcome to February – a month when we get to celebrate groundhogs, football, love, and plenty more. As you consider your plans for a fabulous February, you may wish to observe one or more of the following special days:

February 2: Groundhog Day (tomorrow!) will find the eyes of our nation falling on Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, as we wait with collective baited breath to see if the groundhog sees its shadow. And if a shadow appears, that means six more weeks of winter. (Read: snow shoveling.)

February 3: Chinese New Year. Also known as Spring Festival or Lunar New Year, 2011 is the Year of the Rabbit. Check your local newspaper to learn about observances in your neck of the woods.

February 6: Super Bowl Sunday. Football, good snacks, great friends and/or family. Let the fun begin!

February 14: Valentine’s Day. Share the love! Check back in the coming days for at least one more post about this lovely occasion!

February 21: President’s Day honors the birthday of our first U.S. President, George Washington. It also honors all of the U.S. Presidents since then. What are you doing to honor these leaders?

Wishing you a fabulous February!
